Our standard products are designed as modular stages so they can be mixed / matched together to form X-Y Tables to satisfy a wide range of application requirements.

XY TABLES

XY tables are a set of 2 linear motion axes mounted perpendicular in the X and Y Cartesian coordinate axes direction.

XY Tables can be constructed in different styles, depending on requirements for:

  • travel length
  • space constraints
  • accuracy grade
  • Flatness & Co-Planarity
  • 3rd & 4th axis or more added
  • payload & application

Stacked AxesThis architecture is most common. Two linear stages
are mounted X-Y. Typical designation is X on bottom,
Y on top. This architecture also lends itself well to
uneven travel length. Products for this architecture are:

Integral DesignThis is also referred to as a compound architecture with a 3-tier design.Practical applications are limiting the travel length to 300mm. Available as Open Frame version with a central aperture or a Solid Top. Product for this style is: METROSTAGE

Split AxisRequirements for greater flatness, overall accuracy and application specific designare better addressed with an X and a Y axis that are separated form each other. In such a Gantry style architecture, the X-Axis is located on a base and the Y-Axis is overhead on a stationary bridge in a metal or granite structure.Products suitable for this architecture:
